“Forever Home,” an exhibition of color and black & white photographs by Worcester-based artist Jessica Walsh. The ongoing exhibit includes strikingly modern images of cats and dogs; all work is for sale with a portion of proceeds benefiting WARL. The exhibit runs now through 2011.

An animal advocate and professional photographer, Walsh aims to create photos that act as a window into the personality of pets, their owners and the special bond they share. Preferring to photograph a pet in their home, Walsh finds that this allows her to capture the true personality and unique traits of each animal. She considers her style of photography as “modern” and photojournalistic, which includes interesting angles, candids, bright colors and close ups.

Each pet photographed for the set “Forever Home” is an animal that has been rescued and given not only a second chance, but a forever home.

The goals and ideals of the WARL are something Walsh personally identifies with and feels very passionate about. Through her years as a veterinary assistant, she has seen many rescue organizations but has never been as moved and impressed by others as she is with the WARL.
